Meritphase Classroom Training | PMO-Project Management Office is a coordinating Office when they are large scale project with specific timelines and milestones to be achieved. It involves Review, Tracking (monitoring), controlling etc. Hence, exposure to Project Management Process and procedure and usage of PMP tools including excel & accounting related to Project costing would be beneficial.

PMP-Project Management Professional exam needs, to my awareness, complete and detailed understanding of a Project Management process as outlined in PMI book of knowledge. The detailed understanding includes handling practical scenarios of review, tracking, rework, estimating, costing etc.

Hence, experience in a Project either new project or ongoing project and mapping the experience with PMP book of knowledge would be beneficial to get precise understanding and enable you to attempt PMP. Alternative, mapping the PMP book of knowledge to your scenario will be helpful.
